So cheezeguy what's the scoop?
How did ya partition?
Did ya add another drive? If so,whatcha get?
And so on ... blah blah blah. Told ya lazy mode.

I don't think Gary gets to use it.

You got that right Kelly!
I'm was in the middle of partitioning and the new disk and I had to make HFS so I could run PlusMaker to get the allocation blocks down to .5k when I ran out of time and left it hanging and picked up the kid. On the way home I told him I was working on the G4. He said, "well get off"!

I came home and finished up and ran PlusMaker and he's been on it since.

Bill,

I bought a Maxtor and put 5 partitions on it. One for 9.2.2.....that came out nice.

One for an OSX.2.4 backup a Scratch Disk, an Applications Disk for OS9 stuff and a Data partition.

I haven't partitioned the 60 gig IBM yet.

Yeah! What chatter teeth said above!    Bet ya got a rich dentist Bern with those teeth bouncing around so much.

You know that "backup X" is going to be the main once you do it to it with the other drive.
Mine at first even said Backup X till I realized once I did it to it with my other drive and stuck an X in there .... nah ... main ... main.

Bill,
I don't understand what you mean. What I did was to make a 6 gig partition so I could back up OSX on it.

What do you mean?

"One for an OSX.2.4 backup" then "What I did was to make a 6 gig partition so I could back up OSX on it."

OH so what you're doing (considering only a 6 giger) is that you 'ARE' using it as a backup instead of a full 10.2.4 then.

If that's the case .... my bad.

Bill,

I haven't put anything on that partition and I may rename it and put something else on there.

Jaguar seems pretty stable.

I ran DiskWarrior 2.1.1 on it just to see how much the Directory was fragmented and it came out to 26%! I didn't run DiskWarrior on it though. Could I? Will it work with OS10.2.4? I ordered 3.0 but I'm still waitng for the email.

"Could I?" Yes.
"Will it work with OS10.2.4?" Yes. As long as you run DW 2.1.1 from another partition with a system like 9xx on that partition (I do) or from a bootable cd.
I've done both many times.

6 gigs isn't much Gary for expansion down the road.?. Guess you're figuring on tossing stuff in other partitions and aiming them towards Jag.?. Which is fine yet if you have the room/space on the drive/drives ....
I might be loco but i've a full Jag on the other drive. If something goes bonkers where it isn't worth the effort to repair,I (well my game plan anyways) would just dump the bad boy and use CCC to copy another over.
