Have to give public thanks to RHP Consult for his advice when answering a post I made concerning "intermittant freezes".
After doing a completely  new  install without fixing the problem, his advice to leave AOL was the correct answer.
Am now an Earthlink subsciber and no more freezes!

Yep AOL has never in my opinion been Mac friendly.
