Greetings!

Incredible! I just installed 10.2.3 last night and it appears, by your comments ( Mac OS 10...), that it is already outdated??!!

I am having an opportunity come up with my upgrade. the opportunity is that when I tried to reload the applications (having done a disk erase via Disk Aid (Mac)) I get an unusal response..."Looking for Classic OS 9.2..."

The computer is a beige PowerPC G3 6GBHD, 133 RAM, 300MHz using now OS V 10.2.3

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
JCG

I'm not a regular X user but it may be that you have to go into the Classic section of your System Prefs and select the system folder you want to use for Classic from there.

More knowledgeable X people will be along.

I answered once in the other Thread.

Is there still a problem?

First. JCG. How much RAM do you have?

What do you mean by Erase Disk? Erased what?

Do you have a way to backup your Data?

JCG,  could you list the steps you have taken from the start of your upgrade? I think we are a bit confused as to when you erased the disk, at what point.

If you erased the disk, then OS 9 is gone as well as X, everything goes. You would have to reinstall from the CD to get 9 and X.  Only then could you apply 10.2.3 but where is the update located? Did you download and copy it to another drive or what? Did you order an update CD?

We can help you but we're not sure what you did and how you stand at the moment. Also tell us what machine you have, its basic specifications and any extras you have added.
