I can't live without my mug warmer, sitting on top of the CD case that is attached to the wall next to me. I have a fireproof pad under it so the heat won't affect the CDs.

However, it has a timer in it so if you don't pick up the cup within about a 10 minute period it shuts itself off. Nice safety feature.

Do they make a firewire version that's quicker? When it comes to my coffee, I'm not real patient.

Apparently, there was a prototype Firewire model, but the coffee became so hot it was melting the cups and spilling out onto desks, keyboards, people's laps etc. After complaints to the company from several burns clinics in Japan, it was decided to run with the USB model which appears to be much safer.
