This is a bandstream test with Safari and my ISP.  

   

The same test with NS7
 

   I think Safari is hyping the numbers a bit....

Maybe so Al... but FWIW whenever I've had a problem with my speed and have called on Shaw's techs for help... they send me to this speed test site which shows that Opera downloads "much" faster than NS4.76... not as fast as your test says, but definately faster... "a lot"!

Dunno if it'll work for you... but you can try:

Netscape never leaves any trace of the "download.dat" used... Opera leaves it on the desktop... I just trash it afterward...

I think your test tests the ISP's speed and not the browser speed.
