Attachments and OE.
« on: April 29, 2003, 11:12:00 PM »
I am wondering why I'm getting two file attachments when I send something from OE 5.0.6 on my Mac to a PC user.

I'm making a assumption, but I figgered it to be an attached file with resource information for use strictly on the Mac side, since when I receive the same forwarded messages via our list-serve, the message comes in with one attachment.

Thanks, all.

Chris

You're using AppleDouble encoding as your prefered encoding method. It takes the attachment and preserves Macintosh resource information in one file and the data in the other.

Switch to base64 in OE's prefs when sending to a PC user, but revert back to AppleDouble (or other Mac encoding) when sending to a Mac user....I know, PITA.
