« on: June 11, 2006, 02:38:15 PM »
The ABD clan in on its merry way to the Sandwich Isles today. Another rump Meeting of the TeeEss SemiSenior Caucus, donchano.

I thought I just take a quick glance at how their flight is progressing and here is what came up  just a few minutes ago . . .

Only one eensy teensy problem. A legend at the bottom of the map says "Flying over the Atlantic Ocean"

I don't thiiiiink so!

Then again, maybe Jim's at the controls. harhar.gif  harhar.gif  harhar.gif

...unless they were coming from the east and overshot LAX
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Um, if the pilot "went the wrong way" - flying all the way around the globe - they would have crossed the Atlantic.

...merely drawing a possible conclusion from the evidence presented.

The map does not show a point of origin or termination of the route. dntknw.gif

One other teensy problem...that's not the flight we were on. We flew out of PHX on America West/USAir flt 922. It was a 757, also; helps in getting into that 'friendly' mood one will experience in Hawaii, don't you know...smile.gif

We were 40 minutes late out of MEM but they help the flight for us and actually got out bags, also! An amazing feat!

I would have sworn the house had internet, but it appears the cable doesn't connect to the house..."No problem!" says the house keeper, "Come on down to our house, you can park by out mail box and use the wireless!" Which I am doing for the second time. I can FTP and download email just fine, also surf with the browser doh.gif But I face the same problem Dick spoke of a few weeks ago about sending email. And I can't seen to find the thread...I'm gonna turn Authentication OFF and change the SMTP server to Oceanic.rr.com and see what happens. Went to BYU and know one there could even get the airport to work, despite the fact that it indicated a strong signal. Oh well...

OK, I found the thread about Richards dilema
. Looks like I'll have to check out Erathlink and .Mac's web base methods. I've used EL that way before, will try .Mac maybe tomorrow. Time to get back to the house and see what the Grandkids did today. smile.gif

All alooo-ne . . . waitin’ for a tone,
In my Mac so trusty, here at home,
Confirming that you’ve found a hot zone
So, cyberstically, you'll soon intone.

There’s still a chance, that our Caucus might meet,
Unless you get, too soon, to your feet
And from Oahu’s North shore, beat a hasty retreat,
Claiming your vacation adverture is now complete.

Y'see, I’ll be near – your precinct – quite soon,
And, if you’re ready to drop your har-poon
Thus ending your communing with Old King Nep-tune
Let’s plan to break bread, beside some lagoon.
