Saw a short blurb on the news last night, about 3 kids (look like they're about 13-15) who are "hunting" (with cameras) exotic cars, down in L.A.  They call their site, "Carparizi" (carparazzi?), but after looking for it there, and failing, I found it here.  Great imaginations for setting something like this up.  It's obviously pretty new, and obviously under development, but it's something that shows some promise. Thought you (and others) might like it. . .

We're having some sort of car rally here in town this weekend; lots of nice custom made cars from the 1930's to 1970's!  I always wish I hadn't sold off the 1967 Mustang I had before I got married; I couldn't afford to fix it but I guess I could have stored it until I could afford it!

I had a Mustang, but no classic '67. It was a black '82 GT four-speed that I bought that year (the five-speed came out in '83) with removable glass T tops. I put over 350,000 kilometres on it (and a couple of clutches). smile.gif

But this is the exotic I had as a kid that I wish I still had. Well, it would be an exotic now — maybe. A '53 Pontiac six with tinted glass — real classy — three on the tree and AM push-button radio that took only about 30 seconds to warm up. This is a black-and-white picture that I colourized. The car was pushing 20 years old in this pic.

I had two Mustangs: '67 that I had to sell because it needed too much work, '65 Fastback that I totalled (well I had help) back in the 1980's.  I miss them except when it's hot like today (no AC).

No kidding. The hottest I ever felt was in July or August in the no-A/C Mustang driving across Utah and Nevada to California.

But a close second is right now. It's 91F and climbing,  with the humidex making it feel like 96. I think the humidity is 20 million percent or something — Lake Ontario is a half-mile away, and it insists on shrouding my house with its evaporation. But at least the car has A/C.

Up until 8-10 years ago I could take the heat a little better; I grew up without AC.  Now I feel sapped in a hour or two of 95+ F!
