I decided that Dave Nanian (the CEO/COO/CFO/CTO/CIO of ShirtPocket) might enjoy this thread, so I sent him the URL

He responded, in minutes (per usual) as follows:
QUOTE
And there's the only Easter Egg in SuperDuper -- a sincere thank you to all registered users for supporting us. Glad you all were amused -- but the thanks really is heartfelt.

Well, I don't have SuperDuper, don't even know what it does (a link would have been easier, but I'm forced to go search it out on my own ... sigh) laugh.gif ... anyhoo ... if it puts my name in lights, I'll get it, take a snap of it and see if I can sucker ... errrr ... tease Sneakers with it. After all, he fell for the "scratch and sniff" postage stamps.

HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Don't even think of backing-up without it.

And it save my bacon last night.

Running Panther on an unsupported 9600 is always a touchy situation but when I had to restart last eve due to a freeze and couldn't get through the boot process, I feared the worst.

After many tries I managed to zap the PRAM and boot to an OS 9 install to find one of my partitions unrecognizeable and my main X system NG.

Fortunately I was able to boot to the second internal drive with X and even more fortunately I had just backed up my drives two days ago to an external FW with SuperDuper.  clap.gif

So, after I did the DiskWarrior routine on all visible partitions, I erased the bad system and copied the backup via SuperDuper. Am now back on my main drive with renewed directories and defragged partition.

Thank you SuperDuper.    thumbup.gif   notworthy.gif   yahoo.gif
