Tiger's Core Image stuff
« on: July 18, 2006, 08:12:45 AM »
I kept reading about this Core Image stuff in Tiger, and today installed belightsoft.com  Image Tricks.
It is fun and free.
I havent used it much yet, and it does the same thing as a lot of the Photoshop filters, but enjoying playing with it so far.
Its got a kaleidoscope filter too.

Anybody here tried it?
Jane

I tried it and posted a small review/comparison in my blog at the end of April. I like it. You might want to look up LiveQuartz as well. It's a freebie application just like Image Tricks but it uses the Image Core filters in a different way or maybe it simply uses other filters included in Image Core. In any case, if you want read my entry and catch download links here you go!

Ahh just noticed that LiveQuartz has been updated. Off to download it!

Thank you for your link!
There are so many graphics goodies out there, that its hard to keep up.
I guess I am a filter junkie, cant stop buying great plug-ins. I love the Flaming Pear ones.
I just was looking at the pbase.com albums for the Digital nutz challenges, and theyve posted some wonderful art.
