According to TechWorld ,"Advanced Micro Devices is to buy Canadian graphics chip vendor ATI Technologies for about US$5.4 billion."

Looks like a good move for economies of scale, the new company, instead of being called AMDATI, can just be called AMDTI. wink2.gif
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

I'm not sure they can put things together fast enough to help their sales slump but this does concentrate a bunch of nice technology under one roof!

Personally I'd like to see Macs use AMDs.

Still think the Intel move wasn't a good one.

Sales slump? AMD is seeing its highest profits since it was incorperated!!! And ATi is doing great with it X1900 series, they are outselling the 7900 series from nVidea.
