Police in Norway have recovered Edvard Munch's famous scream painting two years after it was stolen:

I think this is great although I guess I'm not anymore likely to go and see it than I was while it was stolen.  I guess knowing it's in a museum again isn't a bad thing.

I like his color sense and the appropriate level of minimalism he brings to his paintings; they're sparse but not too sparse.  I don't remember studying him much in my long ago art history classes but cramming the history of art into two semesters it is possible to miss someone!   smile.gif   I'm going to see out the Madonna that was also recovered as I'm sure I've never seen it!
