Add to your Mac's menu OK with Tiger
« on: October 22, 2006, 08:31:45 PM »
I did this with my Tiger Mac, see the blue folder that I added called Maps?

But did it with my Panther Mac, and when I clicked on it,,,,AFTER I had added all my sat photos and stuff, it wouldnt work, it gave me an error message that there was no such folder.
So had to go back and fetch everysingle one of my pictures and put them into another folder inside Pictures.
This is interesting, there are things that you can do in Tiger that seem to work in Panther, but dont.

Here is a link that one of our kids used to buy photos from him.

More neat stuff,

Jane,

I have many folders that I have added to the sidebar on my Panther Mac, and don't get error msgs when I open them.  IMO, something didn't work correctly when you tried it on Panther.  I just drag a folder from the Finder into the sidebar, and it creates an alias there.

Is that Maps folder by any chance located on your external drive, and was it mounted when you got the error?

I will try it again, after I go and find and sort out all of my sat photos and map folders.
Thanks,
Jane
