Actually, I think it IS a new release, an incremental update [9.1 to 9.2, or the like].

Just downloaded Opera, and I think I like it! It's pretty speedy.
2.5 Ghz GHz Intel Core i5 iMac, 21.5" display w/4 GB RAM;

I like Opera and will give this version another try. If they have changed at least three things that are Mac-centric and necessary to me, then I will consider it as a main browser.

The version I'd been using didn't allow text selecting and drag/drop to the desktop to create a clipping. Nor did it allow you to drop a URL addy into an open window...that crashed the browser. Also the scrolling is not proper. Clicking in the scroll bar does not take you to that part of the page, only incremental scrolling occurs.

Will see if these things have changed.  In the meantime Camino is my choice. smile.gif

Nope, not fixed.

Scrolling is still lame. Can't highlight and drag/drop text, can only copy to a "note". And dropping a URL on an open page does nothing. At least it doesn't crash the browser but it just blinks.

Oh well, back to Camino.  smile.gif
