These are pictures of the Eurofighter Typhoon taken from the ramp of a C-130. You can see the film crew in the first photo and just the sleeve of one of them in the second.

I'll bet they had everything on that ramp nailed down good!

"Just clean the windshield and give me five ( hundred ) gallons, I'm in a hurry. Oh, and keep the stamps."

If those are real, they show the amazing stability of the Typhoon. All through a several computers, of course, but still great. Not sure what the purpose may have been to this type of 'formation'. Possibly a more 'manual' refueling plan? Or just to transfer a meal to a lonely 'air cover' pilot?

Wonder what the device between the two crewmen ( in the first image ) is. Thinking.gif

And, not only was everything 'nailed down', anyone back there was also strapped in. They may have had a leash for moving around, but they probably couldn't get to the last 2 inches of the ramp. The headsets, of course, were not just for communications, they also help keep the guys from going deaf! It's extremely noisy back there, even with the doors shut! laugh.gif

What was that you said???  dry.gif

You've got it XABD, when I worked on jets in the Air Force (F4s and F15s a couple of many), I wore earplugs and earmuffs when on the flightline. Hearing loss and ear damage was a common problem if you didn't  Hearing protection was standard issue.

The 'apparatus' in the first shot 'looks' like a camera mount with an eye piece in the upper left corner.  I suspect they were shooting film of some type.... Just my $.02 worth of guesstimating...

If that's what they were doing.... I WOULD LOVE to see the whole thing sometime....what shots those must have been..

Do you have a URL for any of those images? I'd love to send it to several friends! I suppose I could just send a link to this thread...Thinking.gif
