OT--->YAAAHOOOO! THAT'S what I'm talkin' about.

Took off around noon...blizzard conditions. Most fun I've had all year.
Did take time to help some folks in ordinary vehicles get unstuck and gave my favorite bartender a lift to work.
Not sure how much snow...looks like only about 7-8 inches but it was blowing and drifting great.

I LOVE my Jeep...and I love this weather.

Hope you all had a good day also.

Easy for you guys....living in sparsely populated areas.

It took me 2.5 hrs. to travel what ordinarily takes 15min. Toronto sucks when there's a blizzard. Consolation....I was on the clock. eusa_dance.gif

We were getting about 3" per hour with the promise of freezing rain on top of the snow. No rain yet.

I drove around Omaha for a while today driving on the medians when traffic couldn't move up hills. There are cars stuck and abandoned all over the city.

A lot of people aggrevated their ulcers and dented their vehicles today and I'm sorry for them.
I, however, had a ball.
Your mileage may vary.  biggrin.gif

I saw many people having trouble on the streets, but had none myself. I wanted to jump out and knock on the window and tell them they must accelerate slowly from a dead stop, and slow down a block before the stop light. doh.gif
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

If I didn't have to work I'd probably enjoy the snow a lot more.  As it is I spend a great deal of time dodging and dragging around people who should have stayed at home.  Tuesday morning I had a "near death" experience when travelling in Lawrence:

A car came right at me on a two lane street with it's windshield entirely iced over solid.  I flashed, I honked and finally at the last minute I wheeled over into the nice flat lawn of a student housing house; figuring that if I went around her in her lane she might suddenly change lanes and I'd be in the wrong.  As she passed us I looked over into her window (clear of ice) and saw her screaming and her hair looked like a weed patch with hair in all directions.  She went on down in my lane with cars diverting around her and I never saw and accident but lots of close calls!

Fun stuff; I don't really like winter!   sad.gif

Snuffysbluff: I heard that I-35 was closed into Missouri this morning so I guess you've got a lot worse stuff last night!

No new snow to mention. Interstate 29 is closed from Missouri to So Dakota.
It really didn't seem that bad to me.

Yesterday they closed down I-35 from Albert Lea to Ames, IA and I-90 from Albert Lea to S.D.

Flat country with LOTS of loose snow and WIND...
