Not sure if he is on TV any longer. He is here though.  Kelly follows Leo and knows more about him than I do. He may pop in and enlighten you.

Comcast, which didn't ever "get it", killed it by merging it with a video Game Channel:
QUOTE
It originally was called ZDTV by its founder, Ziff-Davis, when it debuted on May 11, 1998. It later was owned by Paul Allen's Vulcan Ventures. Vulcan Ventures sold TechTV to G4 Media (owned primarily by Comcast), which merged it with the video game channel G4 in May 2004 to form G4techTV. In February 2005, the name was changed back to G4, eliminating TechTV from the name completely.
--from the WIKIPEDIA article about this!

Leo Laporte is other places now as Dolphin noted!

That's really sad to hear.  Leo and his side-kick were two of the nerdiest, koolest, geeks that I could rely on.  sad.gif

Well I suppose I'll cancel my cable now.  I've notice that most of the stuff seems to be what I call "GARBAGE TV".   Thinking.gif

Thanks TS for the info.  I'll check out Kelly's site that she goes to. tears.gif

Hi there,

Leo is now doing a program called "Call for Help" on my cable service, on a channel called "G4 TV.  It's currently taped in Toronto but is moving to Vancouver soon, if not already. You can find out all about it here:Call for Help.  It is also seen in Australia.  Leo regularly asks viewers to contact "the powers that be" to have it broadcast in th U.S.  Hope this is helpful.

Johan
Hmmmmm. I know you think you understand what you thought I said, but I'm not sure that what you heard is what I actually meant!

Most of the former tech TV hosts are very active podcasters.

You can find Leo LaPorte's many podcasts at TWIT

Kevin Rose does Diggnation  with Alex Albrecht.

Patrick Norton can be found at DL.TV

Leo does mostly audio while kevin and Patrick do video podcasts.

If you liked the Screensavers, these podcasts provide much more and they are free.  Just subscribe to them in iTunes.  I find that I spend much more time watching/listening to Podcasts than I do broadcast TV.

Incidentally, Call for help can be seen on the web as well... I think it is available on Google Video. However, there is a free way to see it as well.  I am not going to post the URL to the torrent site, but I can say that Leo is aware of the site and quietly encourages U.S. viewers to use it.  The show is owned by Rodgers Communications in Canada and they apparently know of the torrent site.  While they have not publicly supported the site, they don't seem to mind either.... if you want more info email me privately.
