Well, I hope the Haweyes don't play the spoiler role for my Illini. None of the talking heads I've listened to expect Iowa to be invited to the Big Dance, so a loss at The C could put Illinois on the second card too.

(ok, I made that name up just now)

I will be rooting for your ILLINI Gregg, sorry Kelly. We need as many Big Ten teams at the dance as possible.

I saw the Big Ten standings, and it looks like Illinois can do no worse than a tie for 3rd place in the regular season. If they don't melt down in the conference tournament, they should get inivited to The Dance. But, what if a surprise team wins???

Whoa! I must have forgotten to click "Add Reply" yesterday...

tiphat.gif to the Hawkeyes. I guess Illinois finished in a tie for fourth. I forgot that most of the teams would play two games in the final week.

With that logjam in the middle of the standings, the conference tournament will weed out at least one or two of those teams tied up in that knot. Non-conference games will factor in as well. And the seedings are..... ? Or is that a new thread?
