Makes me feel better. My son's iBook only has a "minor" problem, but nothing is minor if you can't get at your files.

I told him to burn a CD of his most important stuff. But, he's 20 and of course doesn't listen.

Oh dear, those poor computers!
Once, many years ago, one of our kids was walking along by the Charles River(Boston), on her lunch break between classes, and there was an entire old fashioned Mac, floating down the river!
