Running VPC through Classic on iMac G5
« on: April 16, 2007, 05:37:45 AM »
Anyone tried this?

At present VPC3 with Win98 is on the G3 (OS9.2.2), but - unsurprisingly - the Windows CAD house-design program I've been using trying to use runs like treacle... probably not even that fast, in fact.

I know I could just load it on to the G5 and try it, but I'm not tech-savvy enough to be confident of not b*ggering something important in the process. I'm guessing it just will or won't work... but I'd prefer a bit of expert input first! smile.gif

TIA

Alternatively, can anyone recommend a free or very cheap program for house design... I'm not going into business, just trying to learn how some alterations might work out.

The G5 requires VP7 as I recall.   I run VP6 on t he G4 laptop and VP7 on the G5.  I would not touch either one  if the one application we use it for had ANY other alternative.
