I'm curious what fixes 10.4.10 will include.

While 10.4.9 is highly regarded, it still has problems. Finder, iChat, and Airport are apparently problem areas. No doubt there are other areas of concern.

Still, I'll be at the front of the line when 10.4.10 becomes available.  And fronter still when Leopard is released.

Airport I get -- well actually don't get as it quit working when I upped to 10.4.9 ... but what probs does the Finder have? And should I knock on wood that I haven't bumped into them?

Been doing some reading and I found the following;

That means that Launch Services will recognize a numbering scheme with four digits, two digits, two digits and then a sequence of letters and possibly numbers. The letters are usually used for various prerelease builds so I doubt that would come into effect.

So my interpretation is that, depending on the degree of change involved in the next update, you could see 10.4.9x where x is a number.  It hasn't happened in the versioning so far but this is a special occasion.

I "guess" that I joined that Apple Developer Connection thing because I'm getting the emails from them (I was thinking about writing some small things and I joined for access to the tools) but using Beta is something the other IT guys laugh about.
