Health Resources for people without Doctors
« on: June 08, 2007, 07:01:02 PM »
I came across this link at the "Online Books" page at the University of Pennsylvania ( http://onlinebooks.library.upenn.edu/new.html ) and while there is nothing here I can see that will help XABD in his latest problems (see Stoopid and Stoopier) there might be some things here to download and save:

The books are divided into PDF chapters so it might be easier to download with limited bandwidth!  They sell these books if some group you are a part of knows of someplace that it would be helpful to send a printed copy.

People without doctors need a directory of physicians in their area. (And perhaps the money or the insurance to pay them.)
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

There are people in my state that have no doctors in their community and they have to drive 50 miles or more to get to one.

Oh. My Dad lives in a little village of less than 1,000 people, and there is a doctor in town. The hospital he is affiliated with is about 20 miles away. But, this is a relatively densly populated place.

Don't resort to surgery over the phone! (like the commercial) eek2.gif
