I think using the word "lorry" instead of "truck" is one of the better parts of the English spoken over there.  I also think the least the trucking company could do after this near miss is buy the man a softdrink:

QUOTE
Police in the town of Paw Paw, Michigan, said the unidentified man told them "it was quite a ride", but complained only that he had spilled his soda.

I think I went through Paw Paw a number of years ago after taking the car ferry across Lake Michigan!  Thats a nice, well-wooded area to be driven through on the front of a lorry!

That's Incredible! (used to be a TV show here)

I thought the only Paw Paw was in Illinois. wink.gif

Anybody know what happened to Maw Maw?
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Saw that on the news this morning, scary ride!
I remember the time my little brother threw his brand new football to me and it went way over my head and bounced off a stone wall, and up onto the road and right into the huge grocery delivery truck.  Luckily the driver saw it and stopped, pulled it out of the grill, lectured us, tossed it back to us and went on his way.

I think they owe him a case of soda and a lifetime supply of new tires for his wheelchair!

He's lucky to be alive.

Reminds me of the time in Colorado when I saw a logging truck on I-70, loaded to the hilt, and a dog scrambling around on top. I always wondered if the dog fell off, and if the driver knew the dog was up there. dntknw.gif
