Having just learned that there is now a second Apple Store in "Greater Milwaukee" this morning whilst perusing the newspaper in the surgical waiting room (routine screening - all is well), I then watched the "News Chopper" footage of some 200 people lined up outside the new store waiting for the magical hour.

Their survey found 2% "had to have one" 10% would wait awhile, 76% have no need for one, and 12% hadn't a clue (What's an iPhone?)

For those in the vicinity, the new store is at Bayshore Town Center (or is it Towne Centre?).

Just finished watching the 11 o'clock news and the Apple Store at Easton Town Center in Columbus was packed when the magical hour arrived. About 200 customers were waiting in line.

iPhone for Dummies bet the ink isn't even dry on this baby yet!!!

That's a pretty cool commercial they have on TV showing how easy it is to find the "Contact Us" page and dial the listed phone number.

What I found more applicable is that you must be running Leopard to sync the iPhone. Phooey, they support XP, they should support Panther.

Oh, and I read on the Apple forum that some people running 32 bit Vista are also having troubles. The grumbling is funny as most are blaming Vista and not Apple and swear they will dump Windows and buy Macs. Sounds like Apple knows what they are doing in that regard.


 Rumor is that there will be an update to iTunes in a few weeks to address the problem.
