Website of Italy photos

I've been learning to use RapidWeaver as I work to update my photo portfolio website.

While doing so, I decided to do some of my learning by making one website to combine my photos from several trips to Italy. Previously, I had separate sites for the different trips. Here's the new site:

Meanwhile, I am nearly finished with my new portfolio site, but not quite yet, so I'd love to hear what you think of this Italian site.

What I'd like to hear are comments on the site itself, since I think I have posted links to all these images here previously. Newer photos from Italy will have to wait until this fall, when I plan to return. thanks.

Nice. At first I was a bit annoyed that the slide show seemed to be the only choice. I prefer to be able to see at least how many photos are in the gallery since the viewer has no idea how long the slide show would be. Then I moused around and found the icons for the slide  show and the gallery format 'link'. whew.gif

Your pics are always enjoyable, no matter how portrayed  smile.gif

I also enjoyed finally "seeing" Thomas England (and friend)    toothgrin.gif

Your creativity is amazing. For one striking example, how many pics have we all seen of the Bridge of Sighs? But, I wager, none before this to include the decorative carving down at the "corner". Bravo.

Thank you Thomas.

What I'd like to hear are comments on the site itself, since I think I have posted links to all these images here previously.

I like the colors that are used. Not harsh like all black, they don't detract from your pictures, and the variations of gray are quite pleasing to the eye.

Like krissel, I don't like auto slideshows. Plus having the slides/pics show up low on the page meant I had to scroll down to see anything other than the top portion of the pictures. Thus I missed the first few pics. Not sure I would have found the "buttons" that control the slideshow/gallery, except for krissel's note. I admit I prefer words to all the visuals we get nowadays, but I recognized the symbols and so was able to view the gallery, etc.

All in all, still a nice way to show off your beautiful photo's.
