Need A New Windows Computer

Hi, everyone

A cousin from Venezuela is coming to visit and she wants to take home a computer. She really needs Windows since hardly anyone has a Mac there. This is what she found:

A $600 Acer at Walmart. She doesn't have much money to spend, and this comes with a 19-inch flat screen. It has a Pentium D, 1 Gb of RAM, and Windows Home Premium. It doesn't say the processor speed, just this: "Intel 946GZ chipset with Intel GMA 3000 integrated graphics technology ensures dependable platform operation with enhanced visuals."

She mostly wants it for Internet and Skype. I remember PC Mag reccommended Home Basic for this type of user, but that's not offered in this deal.

 Will she be satisfied with this machine? This links to the computer she found.

Best bet IMO Dell. Next probably HP. An Intel CoreDuo would be better IMO. Yes. Vista Home should be ok. See what deals you can find at Best Buy or such.
