I bet there are cheaper devices that will give you the same information. You just can't use them to also keep your hair from getting wet in the rain.
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

HA! I thought it was going to be more like a "Weather Rock":
1. Take the umbrella outside with you.
2. Open the umbrella.
3. Check its topside surfaces.
  1. If it's wet, it is raining.
  2. If it's icy, it is raining and the temperature is very cold.
  3. If it's dirty, it is windy and there is dust around.
  4. If it's white, it is snowing.
  5. If it's hard to see, it is night time.
  6. If it's gone, it is very windy!
  7. ...
