Come to think of it, yes. And, I don't know why I didn't think of this before...
This is for real.
There is a house on my route to and from work that has the most unusual lawn decorations you'll ever see. It's there year round, and changes with the seasons, complete with props and costumes. Right now, it's a beach scene, of sorts; a lawn chair, sunglasses, sand toys, etc. And the models? You've guessed by now: four plastic penguins. I kid you not.
In May, they went to prom, then graduated (just like last year). In December, it becomes a nativity scene. They go deer hunting, fishing, skateboarding, surfing, you name it, these penguins do it. I've always wanted to stop and meet the people who live there. They must be "characters" themselves!
