Search AddressBook
« on: September 29, 2007, 02:26:22 PM »
I've tried searching Address Book (we're talking >1800 cards) for a particular phone number. I really didn't expect it to work, and it didn't. But, I thought I'd inquire of this assemblage.   rolleyes.gif

Anyone ever been successful with such a task? With any workaround?

Is there something I ought to try to facilitate such an effort . . . such as standing on one leg and whistling The Buckeye Battle Cry? Or something?  Thinking.gif

Amazing!  Thanks, SB

Not does it quickly search for a full 10 digit number, it will start selecting numbers (in alphabetical order of the holder's name, apparently) after only the area code is inserted. Does better, of course, with 6 digits and hits the bullseye with all 10.

Now, why doesn't have this "on board"?

PS: Couldn't get the cute trick of using reversed triads of numbers to work, for some reason. But since the script works so well "forwards" what's the worry!   toothgrin.gif
