RE INSERTING SPACE BAR

Just replaced an hard drive in my wallstreet....it was quiet easy ...(not normal.... )  after re installing the drive i put the keyboard in place but the  the space bar was not smooth ...removed it and now it's 2 hours trying to put it back in place

Is there a place to see how this space bar is constitued inside , how it's fastened to the keyboard, how to put it  in place..?

A good link..... but i can't find the  mechanical part of the space bar... at least. put it on place but it's not really fastened and sometimes move out, don't know how to make it like the others on the keyboard...?

Sorry GR, if you can take pictures and post them of the bottom of the bar and where it attaches, maybe we can see something?

I'd remove the keyboard and try attaching the spacebar from that angle.

Putting the keyboard back in place on the Wallstreet is the most difficult part of doing anything inside the machine.

It is very picky about going back into place.

I'd remove it again and be sure first of all that all the other parts are where they belong and nothing is in the way of the keyboard going back properly. Be sure you have put the heat sink, etc. in correctly.

Then check to see that the keyboard retainers inside the battery openings are not caught up which could prevent the keyboard from 'snapping' back into place. Then carefully slide the board back into place and press down near the retainers to get it to lock into place.

You may have to do this a couple times.

The design on the longer
keys,such as the shift
key, is different from the
other keys.  They have a
different style scissor
mechanism that sometimes
gives people trouble.....       That's right...      (i'm a very bad handyman..)
