Which version of Windows Vista is best to use with Boot Camp on a MacBook? My daughter is in law school and uses her Mac in class, but one Prof says that for his particular exercise she needs to be able to do it on PC. Does she really need the high end version?

Thanks

I wouldn't buy Vista at all right now!  XP is still available as OEM licenses and it works!  I just spent quite a bit of time downgrading some new laptops to XP-PRO from VISTA!

From everything I've read, I agree with Gunug. XP works (or as well as Windoze ever "worked"). Get XP Pro. Plenty of places sell the OEM version for around $100/$130 if you look. I wish I could find the receipt from the place I got mine this past spring - very fast shipping and I think it was only $99.

IAW Paddy and gunug, XP and XP Pro are still available, workable and much more reliable than any version of Vista that I've heard about. I got a version of XP Home Edition on eBay for around $100 including shipping that installed on my daughter's MacBook Pro no problem.

I have "Ultimate" "Enterprise" "Home" et al and have not installed many applications and am still plagued with blue screens and Ultimate looking for "solutions".
The lesser of two evils appears to be XP Pro, like Paddy steer clear of Vista.

I did add a ps with edit but it got "lost" anyway I'm using "Vista" on my PC's and I dread to think how it will perform on my new iMac when it arrives.
