The battery is definitely sealed in there tight, and Apple is saying you won't be replacing it yourself. You will be able to take it into Apple stores to get a $129 replacement battery, but how long it will take, well, we don't know yet.

It seems the battery is pretty easy accesible after unscrewing the lower part of the MBAir... the real question is if the waranty will void by doing so (I guess it does).
When not (or let's assume that your battery shouldn't be replaced within the warranty period), it seems it might be thinkable that third parties offer you this service in the future.
From what I read, if you are more experienced in doing so, it takes up around 3 minutes to replace the battery.

I don't see any problems with that.
Let's hope that third parties really are going to be able to do this (or yourself for that matter) so we don't have to wait a few days for something simple as this.

The MacBook Air also has an external speaker, something I assumed wasn't there the first time I looked at it.

Euhm... I haven't seen any external speakers on the MBAir?
I guess he means internal... whistling.gif
