If you just want someone to view it, do a screenshot & post it as a picture. (you may have to make it a jpg)

Tom,

Can't do a screen shot...I want it to be able to be opened. It is part of a math problem.

Roy,

Try using the attach feature below the dialog  window on the right-hand side on the reply function... use the "Browse" button, then upload and see what happens!

It's a spreadsheet! Math problem? Shouldn't it be a solution? wink.gif

If it's a brain teaser, I'm sure to get a kick out of it. steprake.gif

I doubt that you can upload that kind of file here, it's restricted to just a subset of image formats, I think. But you can try, if it's not accepted, your browser will simply go up in flames. cheer2.gif tease.gif

But you could post the formula and the constants you're working with.

Or you could upload the whole spreadsheet to the space your ISP provides to you. Then post a link to it here.

And the United States = The Banana system

Thanks for trying Chris! However; it is as XABD said. It would not work. I got a message saying "this type of file (.xls) is not allowed". sad.gif

I am going to post the problem anyhow...and yes GREGG it is a brain teaser. Since I can't post the spreadsheet which will tell you if you got the correct answer(it's the password to open the spreadsheet), you'll have to post it here. I will tell you this. Math is not my strong suit. It took me four tries to get the correct answer. So try it and have fun!

Here is the problem which I got in an email:

Gotta love a little mental challenge .... with a calculator.  smile.gif

Are you smarter than a 5th grader? Maybe not.

There are 7 girls on a bus

Each girl has 7 backpacks

In each backpack, there are 7 big cats

For every big cat there are 7 little cats

Question: How many legs are there in the bus?

The number of legs is the password to unlock the Excel sheet.

If you are able enough to open it, add your name and send it on
to see
who else can unlock it.

Send it back to let the person who sent it to you to let them
know you
got it correct.

This is a REAL math problem, so don't say that a bus has no
legs.
Animals have legs.

If you get the correct answer, that number is the password to
the spreadsheet. Put your name in the column with the names of the
other people that are smarter than a 5th grader and forward it on if
you were smart enough to get the right answer.

Well, I spent two or three minutes on it...

7 girls - 2 legs each

49 backpacks, thus 343 big cats and 2401 little cats - all with 4 legs

How many toes? wink2.gif

I didn't count the chaperone or the bus driver, because it does not say that either are on the bus.
