How to capture DirecTV DVR video to Mac
« on: March 21, 2008, 07:55:24 AM »
I have  DirecTV saterllite TV. I also have a DT DVR recorder in my receiver. What I want to do is transfer a video on the DT recorder to my Mac and from there make a DVD of the video.

I undersand there is a wireless adapter for the DT DVR receiver but all I can find is one for DirecTV TiVo. Unfortunately, DT and TiVo parted company and my system is not a TiVo. Are there other wireless adapters that will work with this particular DVR? I searched the Internet but got very little info.

Thanks for any info,

Aw, shucks! I thought this was going to be a tutorial.

Try the EyeTV site. Maybe they have info about this. Of course, they want to sell their product...
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.
