X-Rays taken of Macbook Air
« on: March 21, 2008, 07:15:44 AM »
Apparently some TSA employee's didn't like the looks of a Macbook Air and perhaps they weren't going to let it on a plane.  Anyway this video shows the new and friendly side of the TSA:

This guy was hired for his friendly manner and people skills I'm sure!

plural, not possessive

They don't have to be polite, just competent. wink.gif

And the x-rays are guaranteed not to erase that SSD, right? nono.gif Wonder what they'll do when one of the 'cheaper' models comes through and doesn't match the SDD model. Thinking.gif Not my worry. I've pretty much given up flying; crowded interiors, no edible food, every conceivable item that a customer might want is added to the extra cost list, surly 'attendants' hoping their airline doesn't go bankrupt before they can find another job...And then there is the 'helpful' TSA...although sometimes it feels good to walk around barefooted on those cool floors...Oh well, sometimes a lack of time forces air travel on me, unfortunately, I can still remember when it was an enjoyable adventure. Showing my age? Or just my 'attitude!' smile.gif

That 'agent' obviously doesn't work anywhere I've ever been! He seemed quite interested in moving the lines along and knowing what to really look for. I'm betting he's a higher level manager who seldom interacts with TSA 'customers' trying to make a tight connection. smile.gif

That's pretty much everything I was going to say but I sounded crankier when I was going to say it!

x-ray's shouldn't erase a ssd. it's basically a giant flash drive and whenever i run flash cards through the x-ray or walk them through the metal detector, nothing ever happens to them, so i'm assuming the macbook air's ssd would be the same.
