Apple tries to 'clean up' its image
« on: May 16, 2008, 12:11:50 PM »
Apple has been often and frequently chastised for foot-dragging in it's efforts to become more eco-friendly. One response last year was to offer free shipping (FedEx, no less) for the return of electronics. I sent them two large boxes (IIsi, ImageWriter, Portrait monitor). An ad and a short piece in this mornings paper reports that Apple and Memphis State University (Final Two!) will be collecting electronics stuff tomorrow at the school. Now I have a place to take the 8 cubic foot box holding a dead printer! And the Mac Classic, also. clap.gif

Looked like a lot of people wanted to be rid of PCs! laugh.gif They had hundreds of helpers directing traffic and unloading vehicles. Even a few of Memphis' finest to handle the crowds, if any. Several trailers waiting to haul off the stuff. At least we have more room in the garage! clap.gif
