They're taking their cues from Microsoft with diversification by purchase.

Buying is always easier than inventing...
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

EDS is the provider for a TON of states that administer medicare and medicade services, and the ONLY reason  there is a winddoze application that runs in this office/house. Extremely frustrating to deal with especially from a Mac point of view. This acquisition probably make it worse.AAAHHHHHGG wallbash.gif

I've made use of SSI and Medicare sites using FF with no problems. What are the problems you have with Medicaid? Thinking.gif
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

XAB:  Different situation. My wife does contract work for H&W medicare and medicade.  EDS  is the DP contractor here in ID and in many other states. They provide a software package (non negotiable) plus they maintain a compete staff at the capital and every region to support the software, and believe me they need it.  In order to submit invoices  you must be "windoze" compatible. (I use VP6) The software package IMHO is a total disaster. Some Dr(s) offices have to hire a complete staff just to submit billing (I hate to think what hospitals have to go thru). As long and painful as it was to get it under control I am very reluctant to make the change to leopard and one of the windoze options available. I keep hoping that someone else will make a successful bid and kick them out however my experience in 3 different states over the years makes this highly unlikely. wallbash.gif
