Brings back memories of our Arizona/Utah vacation. I'd love to go back to Utah. We didn't spend enough time at the parks there, particularly Zion.
Ya gotta applaud those bunnies for sacrificing their hearing just so some guy in Cupertino can have better TV reception.

Zion is one of my favorites - along with Yosemite. Personally, they are all great!

By the way, love all of the banners!

This picture was taken on the Navajo Reservation in Monument Valley on March 25, 2007.

If you ever in that area, the tour through Monument Valley is spectacular!
Unless you don't like red rocks.
The loop tour takes but 2-3 of hours on the Reservation cutoff from US Route 191 in very SE Utah.
That whole 4-Corners area is gorgeous.

The good old Southwest of US of A. Especially UT, AZ, NM and CO.

Here's the picture in larger, more complete size. I cropped out the ugly railing that was in the foreground.

Jack it is a beautiful area of our country. I spent 2 years in Arizona while in the Air Force. I was stationed at Williams AFB, near Chandler. We would pass through Gilbert, AZ on the way to Chandler. Gilbert is/was a one horse town which was the birthplace of Amanda Blake (Miss Kitty on Gunsmoke). My youngest son was born in Mesa, AZ.

We visited all the usual tourist sites while there. Grand Canyon, Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. We drove through the Navajo Indian Reservation on the way from the Grand Canyon to the Painted Desert.

We took a weekend trip to Utah and did not get to see enough of it.

Went through Carlsbad Caverns in NM

Thanks for the larger pic. Why was there a railing in the foreground?

PS: I like the banner -- although it looks too HOT for me. biggrin.gif

Ok, that's it. As soon as gas goes back down to $2.00 a gallon, I'm making a trip to Utah again.  chip.gif

Because it wouldn't have been useful in the background. tease.gif Acually, there is a matching railing in the background but it is too far away to be seen... How else do you think they keep people (not to mention, elephants) out of the fragile park grounds?!
