I'll let the Admins and founders make this decision. smile.gif
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system

Jim, I started reading through that guide...what struck me is that it seems directed more at those who have higher-than-normal security needs. Certainly I am not going to mess around with the Open Firmware password - a little slip-up there and you can land yourself in the sort of mess that Clay just  reported here. Obviously, everyone needs to assess their own security needs and act accordingly - but the steps outlined in that document are NOT ones that I'd advocate for everyone here, certainly. Any link we provide would need to be accompanied by some sort of caveat, methinks.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Ok, I'll now take my tongue out of my cheek! It was getting a cramp, anyway...

You have read more than I have, also. I clicked the link and got a download instead of the article at Apple's site. Macworld admits that the PDF is intended for IT types who may (still) have problems bringing Macs into the enterprise. I'm sure there are some helpful details in there but that's not how we want to help people around here. Yeah - it's a PDF (which opens very quickly in Safari), not HTML pages.

I'd be more worried about trying to deal with people who get themselves in a royal mess by starting to follow the directions - not so much by the ones who have the sense to read the whole darn thing and ask questions before they do anything! wink.gif
