SpellCatcherX 10.3.2  $19.95

I know nothing about SpellCatcher X so I am going to use it Monday to see if it is worth buying...

I can recommend using the MacUpDate RSS feed to automatically receive daily updates of the featured discounted software. I have found some terrific deals by taking less than 10 seconds each day to quickly scan the MacUpDate feed  in NetNewsWire. The occasional bundled software specials can save a person significant $$$.

Hmmm...at first I thought, "who needs this when spell checking is built into so many things in the Mac OS and Word has it too...?" - except it does provide some rather interesting built-in functions that aren't found elsewhere. Ghostwriter for instance, saves stuff as you type, so if the app you're using crashes, you can recover what you wrote. Might be a very handy tool for my kids too!

Can't get to the download right now though - must be overloaded. tongue.gif

I wish that I could say that SpellCatcherX was working for me, but it isn't... Last night its little yellow check-mark appeared in the Finder Menu Bar and now it isn't. The OS spelling checker is working but SpellCatcherX does not appear to be.

I seem to recall having similar problems when I demoed the app in the past...
