Can I delete an old system folder?
« on: March 24, 2009, 10:25:15 AM »
In going though the components of my boot drive, I noticed I had two system folders: System Folder and System Folder (from old Mac). The latter has 260 MB of data. My question is can I delete the latter as it appears that the apps in it were System 9 apps and the newest Mod date was 2005. Currently running OS 10.5.6 on a quad Mac Pro.

Thanks,

I'm assuming that "Quad Mac Pro" is not an intel model. If it is, you won't be able to run anything off that System. If IS and you ever intend to use OS 9, running Tiger or lower, you might want to archive or leave them.

Classic (OS 9) will not run on any Intel Mac or OS X 10.5 and higher.

THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF COUNTRIES
Those that use metric = #1 Measurement system
And the United States = The Banana system
