Powerbook Battery - consumer reactions, please

My Pismo is on the cusp of requiring a battery "transplant".

Apple's OEM versions are fairly expensive: ranging low-to-mid-200 bucks.

BTI has them much less - ranging mid-100 bucks.

Anyone out there informed about quality/price issues in purchasing replacement Powerbook Li-ion batteries?

I'd very much appreciate hearing something.
