I'm happy!

Last night's automated SuperDuper backup finished in 16 minutes, even with "Repair Permissions" enabled.

This was after I defragged my external backup drives for the second time.

You might want to file this under "useless information."

Bruce,

Did you use the Incremental or the Combo updater? (I used the Combo.)

I updated with Software Update. Maybe I'll go ahead update again using the Combo updater when I have the time.

Wanted to bring this thread back to the top to complete what I have recently found.

My crashing and freezing after updating I am pretty sure is due to a cheap USB 2 controller for a hard drive enclosure I bought before Circuit City went down.

After unplugging the hard drive I have had no ill effects so far from updating to OS 10.5.7.

Thanks Al.  I was just about to run the update but wondered if some of the problems people experienced had been resolved.

I did this update a couple of weeks ago and noticed a nice drop in the mean temperature in our area! It is now warming up again, maybe I need to run some house cleaning utilities...Thinking.gif
