VLC stumbles out of beta.

I like having it installed over having something by Microsoft; but generally, sooner or later, something
flaky will happen.

FYI and FWIW,

I've been using VLC as my main Movie* player for several years [b/c it seems to work more reliably than any others I have, it offers better control of movies' audio tracks, and I like the control interface better], and very seldom encounter any movie files it can't/won't play.

* This includes 'commercial' DVD movies that I own or have rented as well as all sorts of videos I have downloaded from the 'net.

Addendum - I just remembered that I have, on 1 or 2 occasions over the years, installed a new version of VLC to find that it did something weird/unacceptable to me, and gone back to using the prior version.  Currently using v0.8.6i

Also a fan of VLC, but that new beta version only works in 10.5. sad.gif

I'm happy with 0.9.9a.

I'm using VLC for months!

I'm glad it finally out of beta. There are so many improvements! Good, I'll stick with VLC.
