On-screen active Russian keyboard
« on: September 07, 2009, 08:47:16 AM »
I imagine that this is a rather far-off question.

My wife wishes to enter a Russian word - in Cyrillic - directly into an on-line Russian-English translation program.

Is there a way to present an image of a Russian keyboard on screen such that when one types into it the words appear directly into an on-line dictionary - as they would from an installed "real" keyboard?

Or---any other suggestions?

Open System Preferences>International and select Input Menu. Scroll down and check the Russian keyboard of your choice (Keyboard will appear in the Input type column as you scroll down). Before you do that, read About Keyboard Viewer for more info.
