bruce...

iCal updates the display upon opening/activating the application... It's not a 'true' calendar that automatically 'rolls' with the clock...

Don't think there is any problem with it.

Looks fine to me. What date does your clock show? Is the time AM or PM? Have you checked your Calendar type in the International pref pane? How about your time zone setting in Date & Time?

Or, perhaps you've been awarded an extra 24 hours! Congratulations! clap.gif

I got home from work tonight and now the iCal icon is showing the correct date.

I did check the Date & Time settings and couldn't find anything that could have caused this to happen. What's strange is... it's never happened before.

At least in Leopard, iCal changes its date automagically to the current date. I haven't opened iCal in a few days and yet it still shows the correct date, at least in the Dock. The application's icon, of course, still shows Jul 17. Was that someone's birthday?! Are you sure your times aren't off by 12 hours? Does the menu bar time show AM/PM? dntknw.gif

Fixed! thumbup.gif

I found a discussion about the iCal icon on MacRumor.

The fix was very simple. I just deleted iCal from the Dock and then replaced it. Another person found that resetting the PRAM did the same thing.
