Disk Utility not working after Snow Leopard

I made a new partition on my work machine and installed Snow Leopard on it and it seems to have gone alright except I can't run Disk Utility on the partition.  I get a message that it fails and the details are here:

I let it pull setup information from the other partition (10.5.11) so I suppose that could be the trouble.  Any thoughts?

John - you're not alone, but at least the solution looks relatively simple. (Weird, huh? Don't know if I'd have noticed that there were two DU's on my system after the install of SL. I wonder why? The only place it lives in Leopard is in the Utilities folder within the apps folder.)

Thanks Paddy; I only had one DU on each partition but I was apparently trying to run the one that came with 10.5 and not the one with 10.6!  Now I wonder whether the solution to automatically changing stations on iTunes radio is a similar problem.  I went to lunch with my screen saver on and the password set and it changed stations while I was gone!  Spooky!

Maybe your Mac doesn't like your choice of radio station!
