Inserted Mac OS X install disk via ext drive. The icon will not show on the screen
but shows in the start-up dish window in the system prefs,.
Now I can't eject the disk via the trash and I keep getting that warning of improper disk removal.
I've not had this happen before until now. Any ideas? Please? Buck

Launch Disk Utility and select the disk in the DU window. Then, click Eject. Does that do it?

Then, check your Finder prefs and see if you have the "CDs, DVDs, and iPods" box checked. You probably want the same behavior in the Sidebar... wink.gif

Bingo! Yes sir that's what it was. No check mark on CD,DVD ect. Thanks much!
