I have searched high and low...and seem to have lost a font that I NEED and used extensively last year when I first created this site:

http://www.northandover.k12.ma.us

It's called "Intrepid" and it's the font in all the GIF headers.

Does anyone have it or can anyone point me in the right direction? I have gone through EVERY font folder on my systems - both in OS X and 9 and anywhere I thought a font might be hiding. I've also searched a number of CD's - all to no avail. This is the second time this has happened since I upgraded my system from 10.1.5 - though with the other "lost" font I was able to find a very close substitute on my KeyFonts Pro CD.

For clues, I tried searching online, again to no avail. There is another font called Intrepid - but it's an ugly bold italic thing found on some Badfinger albums. It isn't in any of the Adobe collections or any of the big font foundries I've checked so far.   sad.gif

Paddy, i mailed this topic to my work.
At work we have 1000'sssssss of fonts, so i will see if we have it there.
If i do, i'll mail it up, but it won't be before tomorrow at earliest.
Hope you can bare the waiting till than (if i find it anyway) blush-anim-cl.gif

Thanks for trying Harv smile.gif - that's the "Badfinger album" font I was referring to. The Intrepid I'm referring to is a sans serif font a more like Avant Garde. If you check the titles on  my web site, and then click on the icon for the Intrepid font that you found, you'll see that they are no relation.

Davigibs has found it on his Mac, (it's in his font lists) but so far hasn't found where it lives. Sunset also thinks she may have it and Marcel is looking in his collection at work. The only place I found it online (after Googling til I thought I'd go blind!) was a T-shirt place - as an option for the typeface on your t-shirt. Not much help - no downloadable fonts there. I've also downloaded umpteen font collections hoping to find it...still no dice.

Paddy, i mail your "banner" with the used font to work to, i'm pretty sure we have that font, but it's called different.
I love those fonts anyway, thin, ellegant... biggrin.gif

Well, Davigibs hit the jackpot and just emailed me the font. It was from Print Shop - though why it chose to disappear off my system is anyone's guess. I do still have Print Shop & Print Shop Companion installed on my OS 9 partition though it's been eons since I used them.

Maybe it disappeared because it was embarrassed, because as it has just been pointed out to me via email (thank you, SarahLee!!) that it bears a remarkable resemblance to Futura. I just overlaid two layers in Image Ready - and presto! Apart from some very minor spacing differences (between the letters) the two fonts are identical.

So, I'm back in business, thanks to all my friends here at TS. smile.gif

Your District is in really rough shape (I was looking at the budget info)

I thought we were bad off when they had to eliminate Driver-Ed (in school) and a frozen budget.  Our district can't buy anything at all until the new budget kicks in in Sept.  Hopefully the 50 Reams of paper left won't be enough for all of the finals clap.gif

Oh well- we can take a country in 4 weeks, but can't keep out schools funded- somethig wrong with the picture? wallbash.gif
