Does anyone know if there is a similar Application as this for OS X?

It's for changing the attributes of a file......Type and Creator.

FileTyper 5.5.1?

Gary, Not sure what exactly you had in mind, but maybe these will help:

* Mucho File Info
http://www.muchosoft.com/fileinfo.htm

* Type and Creator Changer
http://alphaomega.software.free.fr/typeand...%20Changer.html

* File Type
http://www.frederikseiffert.de/filetype/

* MacCT

Or, are you looking for something a bit more robust/elegant?

Kelly,

I don't really need an app like this anymore. I had a bunch of Pictureviewer images on CD, actually about 3 MBs worth and wanted to put some of them on my OS X puter. I used to use FileTyper to change them but i no longer have to do it. Preview actually does it for me. I didn't know exactly how it worked but i got info on one of the PictureViewer
images and simply changed the default Application for opening all of them to Preview and it changed all the icons and everything...pretty cool if you ask me, which I realize you didn't but......about the only other thing i used to use Filetyper for was for changing goofed up PDF docs into real PDF docs.....so don't worry...i won't be messing around with it as a matter of fact, those programs are now pretty much obsolete.    laugh.gif  clap.gif

now i feel i put Harv through some needless searching, but i figure he didn't have anything else to do or he would have been doing it. wink.gif Thanks Harv, your a genuine good human bean.
